Simulations with incomplete data - Saab comments on Norwegian evaluation
The claim that Gripen does not fulfil the operational requirements required by the Norwegian air force is important to understand. It also turns out to be founded on simulations previously unknown to us. To our understanding those simulations must be based on incomplete performance information, simply because such information about Gripen has neither been communicated to us nor requested from us or the Swedish government. The Norwegian evaluation committee has thereby not had access to the parameters required to reach the announced results. Saab therefore makes the judgment that the basis for the decision cannot have been sufficient for the far-reaching conclusions made in these previously unknown simulations. Saab commented about Gripen in a press conference on the Norwegian choice of fighter aircraft and to highlight a number of ambiguities in the Norwegian evaluation.
