Awards, held at the Grosvenor, Park Lane and is yet another accolade for the company which published its corporate responsibility strategy last year. But this award wasn't the only gong the team collected on the night - Miller Homes also bagged bronze in this year's quest to uncover the major Housebuilder of the Year. It is the fourth time that the developer has been shortlisted in the category and the second year running that they have walked away with a trophy - in fact, last year the company won gold.
The awards help show the public that there are great developers creating amazing new properties and together with great deals like Millers Homes' MiWay scheme (where buyers pay 75% now and 25% later) there is no better time to buy a new home.
The award winning UK housebuilder was especially pleased with its 'Best Sustainable Development' top spot. The award was given in recognition of Miller Homes' Upton Green development in Northampton - but this development is just one of a string of eco friendly schemes that the company is working on including Birkacre Park in the North West and Millennium Village in Yorkshire
This award also came hot on the heels of the Next Generation report which put Miller Homes in the top three housebuilders who are actively seeking to address climate change.
Sue Warwick, national sales and marketing director for Miller Homes said; "We are building homes for people to enjoy for many, many years to come and protecting the future of our planet is part of that long term promise to customers."
"Not only are our houses becoming ever more energy efficient but we are finding more and more ways to reduce waste in the build process too. And we have set some really ambitious targets for the future."
"We won't stop there though - we are also helping customers to live a more eco friendly lifestyle in their homes. Our social networking site for customers, mymillerstreet.co.uk, enables people to track the impact that their lifestyle has on the planet and it encourages neighbours to set up car shares and the like."
Miller Homes, the UK's largest privately owned housebuilder and three times Housebuilder of the Year.
